review 1: I recently started to experiment with using combinations of simple fonts, icons, and sketches in presentations and for whiteboard drawings in group sessions. I found references to sketchnoting while browsing the internet for resources, and realized there was a whole community with similar ideas.I like the book. It contains the underlying ideas of sketchnoting, tips on how to get started, ideas on structure, simple drawings, fonts, and lots of examples from several sketchnoters. And it is essentially made in the form of sketchnotes.

... more speakers are not linear idea developers, you can add notes where you see connections.Warning: the first time through I thought the speaker had better be mighty organized to make sketchnoting work, but after I dug a bit deeper, I saw that it was very adaptable, even with bad speakers.
