review 1: The first chapter of this book, with its older boy with younger girl situation, almost turned me off the series until I saw that Q-ta was counting to cool off and Yura just thought they'd be kissing. That seemed realistic to me, but I have to admit that I don't believe that Q-ta would love somebody as weak and whiny as Yura. Certainly her beauty can't account for why Boss is putting up with her antics. But that's the plot. Meh.The chapter featuring Yura's mother was fantastic and saved this volume for me. Aihara has created a deliciously wicked character who we actually began to care for towards the end of the chapter. I'm not rooting for her by any means, but it was nice to have some believable character development in this series for a change.Still, I feel Yura is a spoi... moreled brat who doesn't deserve her opportunities. I'm having a hard time feeling sorry for her and wish she'd grow up a bit quicker.
review 2: This is probably my favorite book in this series so far. Overall the series isn't very gripping to me, I never feel I have to read the next volume right away, but I'm certain I'll read the entire series because I do want to know what happens.Yura's gone off with Q-ta instead of going home on the night of the premiere of her drama. They've gone to a hot springs. Yura's nervous, but she's willing to give everything to Q-ta to make him like her. But Q-ta is willing to be patient to make her his. He doesn't like all these people knowing her, or how much time her career is taking up. He's also got more rivals than he knows. First his brother who knows how important Yura's career is to her and is proud of her accomplishments. Second is her manager, he's becoming very possessive of her, he doesn't even seem to know how or why it's happening. We also learn a bit about her childhood and the absence of her parents in her life as well as exactly why she's so insecure. I know I for one have begun to actively hate her mother rather than just dislike her. I believe a lot of her problems could be solved if she just sat down with her manager and discussed her parents since he appears to have been present in a couple of these flashbacks. I've been a Haruka shipper since almost the beginning and I continue to be, but this book has made me certain I could never back Q-ta, although I could see her ending up with her manager... less
