review 1: This was a pretty good book. Even though I truly enjoyed this book and should have been able to finish the book within a few days, it ended up taking me a little longer than usual. The characters were interesting and likable. I will admit there was quite a few characters and at times it was a little overwhelming on who was who. The author did a great job at describing the characters in this book that ended up letting me visualize very easily. The happy ending was definitely what I needed at this time. A good read and I can really see myself reading more from this author.
review 2: This was super fun to read. A perfect summer vacation book with entertaining and likeable female protagonists and men who are either grippingly evil or swooningly good. Lots of scanda... morel, tension, humour to move everything along. This was longer than most of the chicklit books I read but it never FELT long, and it never felt like it was going off the rails and the author was trying to drag it to a logical finish. Johnson kept a tight handle on all different dimensions of the plot right from the start. I never got confused or frustrated. Can't wait to read more of her books. less
