review 1: I dont want to say that I 'pushed' through this book as I really did enjoy it overall. However, coming off the completion of all the current 'Shopaholic' books by Sophie Kinsella, I guess I was expecting more. But in all fairness, I cant really compare a seasoned, concrete character and world compared to a stand-alone novel. So, like I said, I did enjoy the book. It was a light read (as people say) and the character's transformation was really the anchor keeping me to it. The husband is beyond awful and I struggled with the character, actions and motivation. For someone expecting chic-lit, I was a little thrown off guard by how brutal the husband was (not violent though). Anyways, its worth a shot!
review 2: This was such a lovely read. Lately I've been looking
... more for easy reads before bed to take my mind off my final semester at uni but I found myself picking this up even during the day. The characters were so well written, the story had a good pace and I just found myself really drawn to the main character, Lou. I can't say I can completely relate to a wife in her mid 30s with a complete twat as a husband but for some reason, I just really liked Lou. The book also really made me want to tidy my room and declutter my life... truly a perfect book for Spring! less

I really enjoyed following Lou's journey of self-discovery and was delighted with how it ended.
