review 1: For weeks I have heard from the little guy that I'm going to be eaten by aliens. He is rather humored by this thought and sometimes get a bit graphic about it asking what I would taste like to the aliens and which parts they would eat first. It doesn't really phase me. However... I have been bringing one book a week that has an alien them and each week he is terrified that it's a real book about aliens and is very hesitant to have me read it. This week he informed me that I shouldn't scare him. We then had a conversation as to why was it okay for him to scare me but not for me to scare him? He was not scared by this book. And I really tried to scare him. Each time the Hoctopize was mentioned I made the book snap forward and said "boo" very loudly. He didn't fall for it. Ma... moreybe he did the first time. He won't admit it. He did have to ask why some of the characters were on the page twice so we went through the book a second time to "read" the illustrations. (My scare tactics didn't work the second time either.) This title ended up being his favorite for the day.

WonderDoll makes up a story about a group of toys getting beamed up by a spaceship and meeting an alien who, in his quest for his own long lost toy, goes around earth collecting toys that have been left outside. They convince him to return all his collected toys and luckily find his toy in a bush. Very sweet story with good characterization. less
