review 1: I read the first book by Miralee Ferrell in this series and enjoyed it. This one I LOVED. It's set at the same boarding house as the first one, but a couple other characters are highlighted and she added a few more. Love all the characters, well except for two antagonists, and the intriguing plot around Beth's background was terrific. Looking forward to picking up others in this series.Oh, and the nice thing is, this is not like a serial series where there's no end to each book. Each book is a stand alone, but you will love the characters enough to find out what happens to them in the next book.Ms. Ferrell in on my radar now!!
review 2: This is a sweet story about a girl searching for acceptance and healing from her past. I loved how she finds the peace tha... moret settles her heart vas makes her whole again. I did at times find the characters frustrating. I found their constant apologizing for asking questions annoying. I think the author was trying to portray prim and proper people, but it took up too much time. I also found the fact that Beth continued to give her old beau attention and another chance frustrating. I thought it made her weak and naive. Even though I found parts frustrating, this was an enjoyable book. less
