review 1: This was not Ms. Neville's best effort. Tarquin deserved a better story. The characters were okay, but the story line was disjointed and silly...sorry I can't think of another word for silly. The H/H moved around so much that I actually forgot that they ever went to his estate much less remembered what it was like. There were too many characters moving in and off the stage that is was hard to keep them straight. I gave it an 'ok' because I liked the first two books of the series and am holding out for better with the last one...Miranda's and Blake's story.
review 2: New-to-me author. Really enjoyed this book. Great pacing and storytelling. The main characters were adorable. Celia was resourceful, fun loving, intelligent and warm hearted. Tarquin, for all his
... more 'tonish' ways, was a much nicer fellow than his initial presentation. Loved the banter and the chemistry between these two characters. A light hearted story with a bit of mystery, a few 'bad guys', humourous bits, an occasional moment of angst, and some very sweet moments between Celia and Tarquin. This is not the first book in the series but I had no problems following the story. Will definitely look for more books by this author. less

It had a lot of great potential, but I was bored for a lot of it. ):
