review 1: This story was truly a disappointment. Lyons had some great ideas, and the characters had the potential to become something great and part of a great story. Instead, she fell incredibly short. The story line jumped too fast. There's a missing child, missing child found. Was there a point to it? The sex scenes seemed to be written by someone with little to no experience with the type of sex she was writing about. BDSM is its own world, its own set of rules and satisfactions. She may be curious about the things she was writing about, but her lack of detail and the way she rushed through them tells me that it is little more than that.
review 2: The story was fairly well written with only small annoyances with quotes and other punctuation. The book touts itself as ... moreDom/sub and bondage, but frankly, if you are getting the book because you enjoy serious BDSM, Dom/sub, and a bit of bondage, you are in for a major disappointment... light spanking, a laid back dom and a mouthy sub (yes, lowercase for both), minor rope play only prove that the author has no idea about the lifestyle (or is too embarrassed to talk about it properly). The story line is implausible, the sex is vanilla, and the characters are flat and uninteresting. Only read it because it was free and a quick read. Its an okay read, that doesn't inspire me to go find anything else written by this author. less
