review 1: A hint to the reader: The meaningless quotes at the top of each chapter is from the person who "writes" the chapter. Because I didn't figure this out until nearly half way through, I spent 20 percent of the time not knowing who each chapter was about. As it was, I spent 50 percent of the time failing to figure out what was going on in the story. And I still don't know what happened to one of the two main characters. The author writes brilliantly. He'll be fine when he learns how to organize and help the reader. Otherwise the writing is grossly chaotic.

I got so caught up in their lives and felt an almost overwhelming sadness when things got dark. This book really got to me. I cannot say enough good things about it. less
