Cozy Spotlight: Catherine Bybee

Today’s Cozy Spotlight takes a look at Romance author Catherine Bybee.

Catherine Bybee was raised in Washington State, but after graduating from high school, she moved to Southern California with hopes of becoming a movie star. After growing bored with waiting tables, she returned to school and became a registered nurse, spending most of her career in urban emergency rooms. She now writes full-time and has penned several popular bestselling series and is translated into over a dozen languages and has sold over 3.5 Million copies of her books. (Amazon)

About herself, Catherine says that she’s first of all a mother to two boys currently battling the teenage years.  She fell in love with the Romance genre early and spent her high school years gobbling up as many romance novels as she could. She doesn’t take herself too seriously, prefers when people take a glass half-full approach to life and loves her spell-check.  Her years as a RN have given rise to many funny scenes in her books.

I’ve read several books from different series by this author and have enjoyed every single one.  The first one I read was Wife by Wednesday of the Weekday Brides series.

Samantha and Blake stole my heart in that story but perhaps my favourite couple and mystery subplot came out of Financé by Friday (Gwen and Neil’s story).

The Not Quite Series is just as sweet and charming.

Not Quite forever introduces my favourite heroine, romance novel writer Dakota Laurens.  However, my heart belongs to super sweet couple Katie and Dean in Not Quite Mine.

Three best friends are showcased in the Most Likely To series.

If I could make myself over I’d have Melanie’s sweetness and darling daughter, Zoe’s awesome cooking prowess and Joe’s wit and fortitude.

The next Bynbee series for me to get into is the McCoinnich Time Travels.

A bit different from the other series, but looks to be just as entertaining.

Have you read any of these books as yet?
