review 1: Zuckoff does it again! Just as intriguing as Lost in Shangri-la, but Frozen in Time earns even more props as it vacillates between unbelievably daring search and rescue efforts in WWII to the modern day exploration of the downed aircraft and soldier remains, in which he himself plays a part. Better than fiction and a great history lesson on the military and economic importance of little known Greenland .
review 2: I didn't like this quite much as Lost in Shrangi-la by the same author but I do love rescue stories! This book didn't have the advantage of having "fierce" natives who had never seen white men before at the scene of the accident. There was just a lot of snow storms and crevasses. I am mostly in admiration of the courageous men who put others first
... moreand have the skill to pull off a rescue such as this. less

good book, but at the end you don't get really the end.
