review 1: 4 "NICE TO MEET YOU" STARS!I actually read the new and updated book of "Jase" and this is included in that but I am still going to give my thoughts. In this book, we are introduced to Carly, Jase and the rest of the Steel men. Carly is a college student taking her summer break out at her dad's in New Jersey. She goes to college out west where she lives with her mom. Jase is a tattooed, bad ass alpha male who owns a tattoo shop with his mom and brothers. When Carly and Jase meet, it is not under the est circumstances. He has a girlfriend, Pam, who is a total bitch. When something by happenstance happens and has them meet up one night, this ensues a whirlwind of attraction and the start of their relationship.Jase and Carly continue to meet up late night and keep it innocent ... morebecause Carly does not want to be a cheater. When Jase finally decides to give up crazy Pam, Jase and she ensue on a whirlwind romance that they think can only last all summer long. What will happen when Carly goes back to college? Will they try to work it long distance or will they end their summer fling?I love Jase. Though I thought he was an ass at times, he was still sexy, broody, alpha, controlling, possessive, and his dirty talk was yummy. I also like Carly. I thought she could hold her own against Jase and gave him shit right back when he was acting like an ass.I can't wait to continue on with their story and see where there relationship progresses too.
review 2: I don't normally read novellas simply because they're not long enough to tell a story. This one however, is an introduction to the series so I made it a point to read it first. I'm glad I did, it gave me the proper intro to the characters and who is who.Yes, there are some grammar issues in here. I've read three installments in this series and none of them are error free, but I chose to read these for entertainment, not to nit pick.Carly is an overprotected college kid who is extremely naive and very innocent and uneducated in the world of relationships. To me, that's actually refreshing for a change. I was in my early 20's when I gave up my v-card, so I like seeing that in a story. Jase is a bad boy, he sees what he wants and he does what he has to in order to get it.As this is just the beginning of the story, it's best to be read first before you dive into the actual stories.Men of Steel is first, then Jase, then Jase and Carly. I've read all three now and I am very pleased with this author's work. So, obviously, I enjoyed Men of Steel or I would not have continued on with the series. I am looking forward to reading the rest of it and see what the other Steel men have up their tattooed sleeves! less
