review 1: Frankie is a witch who wants nothing to do with the powers he was born with. The guy just wanted to be a chef and live a normal life. Everything is smooth and dandy until he meets Addison, a food critic who bashed his newly opened restaurant and the whom he eventually fell in love with. The problem is, how will Frankie tell Addison his true nature without freaking the guy out and one more thing, said guy was engaged - to a woman!!??!!I'm not usually big on fantasy stuff on books or something relating to magic, paranormal and all but I loved to indulge every now and then. The premise of this book seems like a script of a TV movie intended for a gay Lifetime Channel and it's actually quite charming. I appreciate the uncomplicated explanation of Frankie's family background bu... moret I wished there was actually more to it. Addison on the other hand is a different story. His character isn't that established and it changes dramatically from the start until he meets Frankie (discarding the obvious). It's just all so weird. Oh and I loved the secondary characters in this book - Dom, Laurent, Jean and I'm actually more interested with Owen!! It feels like there's more to him other than his very awkward demeanor. I hope the author considers him.To sum this review up, the book most definitely have its own unique charm that will appeal to your heart and "taste buds". It's sappy and all but like me, try to indulge once in a while - you'd actually find yourself enjoying this a lot. :)Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
review 2: I liked it. It was adorable. Jean seemed like he had some series setup going on. There isn't another book listed yet, so there's no way for me to confirm that.I liked it because the characters didn't immediately jump into bed/have random sex. Not that there wasn't contact. They spent a lot of time actually dating and kissing before a "consummation" actually happened, which was kind of nice. And they were really adorable together. Always. less
