review 1: First, let me say, this says 'novella' but I have read novels that were shorter. I know that some people have a hard time purchasing novellas because they're short so I wanted to put that out there. No, it's not as long as a normal Molly McAdams novel, but at 145 pages, not including bonus content, it's still a pretty healthy sized book.Hi, my name is Sarah and I'm a masochist. I love to read Molly McAdams' books because I know that she will rip my heart out and stomp on it. However when I heard this was a novella, and the first in a series I thought my heart was probably safe. WRONG!! Although the manner in which my heart was ripped out was a little different (and maybe worse) it still was.The prologue of this book had me in tears and it just kept up from there. Th... moreere were happy tears, sad tears, pissed off tears. So damn many tears. Once I started this book I was completely hooked, like I said masochist. I was so sad for Reagan that I had to know that she would get everything that she deserved and more. She made a ridiculously hard decision and stuck with it, regardless of the consequences. I loved her for it.Coen, God, Coen. What can I even say about him. He was so wonderful, even when his own head was a complete mess. Yes, he screwed up because he's human and that's the nature of the beast. But, once he had a little time and perspective he went above and beyond to fix what he had broken. He was more than anyone could have hoped for and everything that Reagan deserved.Capturing Peace is one of those books that, while completely heart breaking in places, was able to show that there is still some hope for humanity. That there are still people out there who do the right thing and love with everything that they have. It was a beautiful story and sent a beautiful message about not judging others and letting people surprise you by being more than you ever thought anyone could be.
review 2: What a great read! I love Molly McAdams' books and this is just one more to love. Even though it was a short novella it felt like a a full length novel. Molly makes her characters come alive and you never want to stop reading. This was just a great emotional read that will capture you and not let you go until you have finished the story. I can't wait to start Sharing You to hear Brody's story! less
