review 1: Oh my lord. Amazing. I loved this book. Joseph finally got what he deserves. Aaron, though a cold hearted murderer, he still won my heart. Madeleine was also amazing. Her strength never failed her. She was the angel to Aaron's demon. "I will not let Madeleine's life slip away in order to save mine. She is light while I am darkness, she is raw beauty and so blessedly pure while I am nothing more than a poison to humanity. She deserves her life far more than I deserve mine." If you like dark books, this series is a must read.
review 2: This was an interesting read. I really like captive stories, so that's why I chose this one. But I have to admit I felt a bit conflicted about it. Possible Spoilers below....I found it odd that Aaron was morally okay with killing, ... morebut claimed to be against women being raped. Then at the same time he is okay with using Emily and hurting her. It didn't really make sense. And I would have rather just read about his darkness then trying to squeeze in a redeeming quality that isn't really believable. It felt like the Author was too worried about what we might think of him. But in my opinion that is the best part of these dark characters, is falling in love with them anyway, against the odds. Those are just my thoughts. less
