review 1: I selected this book as my free Amazon prime book in July. I ended up not getting around to reading it, and I almost returned it in August so I wouldn't lose my August book. I noticed all the high reviews, so decided to read it. I ended up enjoying it, and I was glad I didn't return without reading. It was fast paced with a lot of twists. Sometimes I felt it was to quick, not in depth enough, but it worked for this book. I really liked the ending a lot! The epilogue alone made the book a 3.5 star to a 4.5 star, lol. Fun read if you are into sci-fi.
review 2: When I started reading this book I thought "Oh crap, another ancient alien sci-fi thriller. If I wanted to read something like that I would've bought Matthew Reilly or some other author of that ilk." When I... more buy a Murray McDonald book I look forward to a tightly plotted story with great characters and lots of action. And what did I get – a tightly plotted story with great characters and lots of action. He may be new to the genre but he gave a Masters class on how to do it. A fantastic read. I highly recommend it. less
