review 1: I was quite interested in most of the book, but it fizzled at the end. I liked that the heroine was Asian, even though it was sort of cancelled out by her being raised by a rich and powerful white family. I also appreciated that she was a financial analyst rather than the typical librarian/book store owner/ B and B owner. All the conflicts were set up for a good romance but it felt shallow and a rushed. It this was longer with more character development and plot development, it would be a solid 4 stars. I will read more by this author.
review 2: Pretty good, fast paced read. I liked Natalie's character but was frustrated by her need to be loyal to people who treated her like a damn leper. I wanted to smack some sense into her and hope that smack would work... more its way to her damn backbone b/c man she needed a freaking backbone. I'm sorry I know its not good to hold a grudge but some people just don't deserve forgiveness and she was just too damn quick to forgive everyone...that frustrated me to no end...Overall it was a good read, not exactly a page turner, run to get book two, but a pleasant read nonetheless... less
