review 1: This is a short story in the Guild Hunter Series, that fills in about characters who had minor roles within the series. I loved having their stories told to make this series feel more complete. This is the story of Jessamy and Galen - who show up in many of the full Guild Hunter books, and just completes them! In the first few books in the series, Jessamy is alone.. then suddenly there is a mate! So this is a must read before finishing too many in the series! I love how strong they make each other. Their devotion and loyalty to not only to each other, but their leaders and friends leave you feeling very good at the end of each story, and looking for the next one!!!
review 2: Yes! Finally I get it going -I found another book to squeek about. It reminds me of on
... moree writer from my country (Marija Juric Zagorka) whose books I love so so much. I always wanted to recommend it to people who don't speak Croatian, but it was never possible since her books are not translated in English (Ugh!! Can't believe it's still the case!). But now I've found something fairly similar, so I'm really happy! Of course , the stories aren't connected in any way, but what I like in both books is:1) Fairly complicated plot, that makes you wonder what will happen next. Butin a way that all is connected, deliberate, and author knows importance of every part of the story.2) happy story/ending3) well developed love story4) deep fascinating characters that get under your skin pretty fast5) inteligent story telling / building ...i) a lot of sequences to followAnd to think that this is just the beginning of the series?! After reading this first short part, I'm satisfied for the moment and I want to think about it for some time before I go to the next. Which is huge for me since it usually doesn't take me long to go to the next.Hopefully this series will keep up with the pace this first book started. less
