review 1: I enjoyed this story about a girl and a bunch of woodland animals creating a library inside a tree and I also loved the texture of the illustrations which look as though they've been painted on wood. I think this book would go really well with The Midnight Library for a library-themed storytime. Here's the one thing that bothered me about it: the name of the main character. I would almost be tempted to change her name to something that's a bit less of a mouthfu; Red Knit Cap Girl doesn't exactly roll off the tongue when you're reading it aloud.

... mored the illustrations are charming. It is an extra bonus that the illustrations are printed on a wood grain background so the book has the look of a wooden book. I was also happy to see that Kaoko Stoop sells prints of the red knit cap girl on Etsy. less

The art is unique and lovely. It's about friends who build a sharing library. What's not to like!

I liked the book nook in a tree concept but this story left me yawning.
