review 1: This was....unbearably bad lol. The only reason i finished it was because by the time i realized how bad it was gonna be i didnt have time to start a new book. The heroine is disgustingly mousy. I dont know what the author hoped to achieve with the stutter but she failed to get my sympathy. Oh boo hoo mommy married rich husbands and wasnt very nice to you. So go to therapy and get over yourself. Then she tried to make her "tough" by having her get attitude with the hero. First it was weak second it just made her seem bitchy not tough. The hero was pretty much a wash too. He had his moments but for the most part he was a jackass...a selfish one. I saw no evidence that he cared for anyone but himself other than MAYBE (and its a strong maybe) his brother until the end when *g... moreasp* he makes a total about face to get to a HEA ending. The romance was practically nonexistent and to me it felt like no real feelings ever developed and the whole thing was just a power play. The sex scenes couldve been good but they got ruined by things like "come on babe relax" (during which im picturing a 20 year old surfer instead of a 30 year old businessman...and giggling). The there was the heroines idea of dirty talk "gag me with your cock...ram it into me" (to which i giggled harder). The plot was nothing special the whole engagement/marriage of convenience storyline is done fairly regularly and this one didnt really add anything interesting to it except a whole lot of pointless family dysfunction (most of which was completely irrelevant and couldve easily been cut). The writing though is what really did me in. It was terrible...almost as if it were written in another language then really poorly translated. I even did some research. So this author is from new zealand but their main language is english. So why then are there sentences with out of order words or sentences missing words which makes them make no sense? The there are some words/phrases that make no sense that i would normally chalk up to dialect difference...such as aircon (presumably air conditioning) or answer phone (which seemingly means voicemail). I could let these go except the book is SET IN THE US!!!! if you set it here and market it here it should make sense to us. That may sound ignorant but I dont feel like it is because there were times i was reading that i was totally confused about it and i wouldve been pissed off about the fact that whole parts of it made no sense if id paid for it rather than reading it on scribd. Seriously...unless its to laugh at the sex scenes dont bother with this one
review 2: Loved everything about NA's Beg For You. Logan is the ultimate bad boy with a roguish sparkle in his ice blue eyes and a wicked streak a mile wide . But behind the playboy persona he perfected lays a great man. He is passionate, playful and loving. Suffering from a nervous stutter, Min is shy. Hiding from life, she works from home as a social media organizer. When fate brings these two together, its fun, its angst, its explosive. As different as they are, Logan & Min are perfect for each other. Min challenges Logan every step of the way. She doesn't take his crap and he doesn't let her hide. I enjoyed their sparring as well as their searing attraction. Only complaint, it is tooo long. less
