review 1: this book was just an average book, then why did I fall in love with it? after reading this a while back, it haunted my memories. I would remember bits and pieces and tried to remember the name. I have taken it from the library so many times and I keep forgetting to order it on amazon. this book is amazing, its a lovely tale about mediocre high school problems, and that is what makes it so amazing. love Leo
review 2: There are four words that come to mind when I finished reading this book. Sweet, cute, witty, and incomplete. I don't really have much to complain about when it comes to this book. It was excellently paced and interesting enough to keep me reading. I'm the type of person that won't continue to read a book if it seems like a waste of time when there
... more are so many other books that I could be reading instead. The characters were entertaining to read - and to a certain extent - relatable. I loved reading from Josie's unique point of view and learn about her relationships, especially her complicated relationship with her father and his family. It was all around a light and quick read, with good characters and an interesting plot. Now here comes the negatives.I felt like it was just empty in the end. I'm left with so many unanswered questions. What happens with her mom and dad? What happens with her ridiculous best friend? What happens to her relationship with Riggs? It just feels like there wasn't an ending. For Keeps left me wondering if any of the unresolved issues ever got resolved. How an I supposed to know? Maybe that's the point? Maybe it was the books purpose to leave me guessing and come up with the ending myself. Either way, I could have liked to have some closure. Another thing that really bothered me was her best friend Liv. That girl was ALL OVER THE PLACE. Apparently she is a reckless, and eccentric teen ager that likes to purposefully dress like weirdo, but that's okay because when she doesn't get ridiculed; no she gets praised. I found her character to be a major contradiction. I didn't feel like her personality matched her actions in anyway. But whatever, I didn't find her to be really significant anyway, I actually feel like the story could have done without her. It's a shame really, her character had so much potential.Other wise, this book was good. If your looking for a book that is quick but you don't want to get too attached, kind of like the person you see at a party, (you want to have a good time with them but you probably won't ever call them after that night) then this is your book. less

Eh. The whole mom thing was cute... everything else was sketchy. Not recommended.

I enjoyed reading this book, but it is predictable. It is a light, YA read.

Stupid teen hookups distracted from the long-lost-father-finding plot.
