The weird but true series is packed with highly interesting facts. You can learn about food, animals, technology, outer space, humans, history, holidays, geography and a lot of other subjects. These books are easy to read and a great source of non-fiction. You will be amazed about how much you know after you have read these books. I gave these books 5 stars because they were so interesting and I couldn't pu... moret them down. I learned so much from them! I learned that if you eat to many carrots you may turn orange, hot water ways less than cold water, the worlds termites outweigh the worlds people, human thigh bones are stronger than concrete, it's possible to smell scents in your dreams, salt was once used as money, and hamster teeth never stop growing. Of course I learned a lot more but I thought these were really interesting. I recommend these books to anyone. They are easy to read, REALLY FASCINATING, and fun. Happy reading.
review 2: This book is full of random facts that are weird but true. I personally love this kind of book, but I also think that it really appeals to boys. It gives many facts that are almost irresistible to share and makes you want to read more. This book could be read in small groups, with partners, or when there is spare time to fill such as waiting in line to go to the bathroom. The facts can get students interested in specific topics and could be used as a way to find a topic to research further. less
