review 1: I have read Walsch's "Conversations with God" series for adults, and although I am not a teen, I was intrigued to enter the First Reads contest for this title to see how he would relate life concepts to teens. I have to admit that I actually really enjoyed this title, at times more than the adult series. It was very simple, straightforward, and practical. The author doesn't explicitly share what he believes as what is "right" versus what is "wrong", but instead provides insight into how teens can deal with many of these struggles that they deal with on a day-to-day or one-time only basis. It was a refreshing read, and even helped me to re-evaluate some of the ideas I thought that I had overcome. Overall, great piece of work and worth reading for any ... moreteen.
review 2: Aside from its controvesial part, I think it's also a book that would be good for any teen looking for spiritual answers. Our teens face an onslaught of anti-God rhetoric from our culture every day of their lives. This rhetoric comes at them from television, movies, books, magazines, and even from the schools they attend. Many Christian teens feel overwhelmed when faced with the questions non-believers ask them. This book answers many of those questions in a way that will appeal to the mind of a teen or young adult. This book is not a book of fluff or shallow answers. It tackles many of the more difficult questions concerning the differences between a biblical worldview and a secular worldview. less

Fresh and provocative. But I'm not a teen! I'm 42.
