Complicated Love
review 1: Complicated doesn't even define this story. It's funny, sweet, and hot. I like the way how the story went, though I have a few relapse, with going from the past to the present then going back. The bickering, swearing, partying and all other crazy shinanigans in this story was the reason why I can't stop reading it. I like the sweet and romantic gestures the characters, not only Riley and Christina, show to one another. I sympathize with Christina and how she is went with her life from teen angst to finding love to early marriage to experiencing crazy marriage life to losing someone dear and finding the "rigth" path to go from there to divorce process to life after divorce to reliving the past. Wow, that was a mouhtful. I get it and sometimes or rather mostly I see her wit... moreh my own actions and hope tomthe heavens I get to survive it if I ever get to experience the roller coaster life of Christine Martin. I love that she is strong, loving and caring to the people she love and that her Achilles heel is the person she left but always love. Riley. I don't know what to say but, "Dude your as fucked up as Christina and I am proud of you". I love his undying (pun intended) love for Christina and I always wait for his perspective of the story while reading this book. I am more than interested with what happens jext to this two . . . love birds. . . in the second book and I am more than ready to see more of the other characters in the story because they got my attention as well while reading this story. 4-4.5 stars for this book!
review 2: Lost in Flight is the first book in Neeny Boucher’s The Complicated Love Series. It is a most appropriate title as the main characters seem to be both lost in life and oy, is their love most definitely complicated!Christina and Riley have a tumultuous relationship dating back to high school. At one time the two were married and very much in love and inseparable. The story is told from alternate POVs. Chapters look back to the past to help flesh out the story and show the reader what has gone on, as both Christina and Riley try to figure out in their heads what they already feel in their hearts...if they are truly meant for each other. The characters in this book were sensational! There were so many enjoyable side characters that added color and flavor to this story. Being able to witness the strong bonds between all the different relationships was just so wonderful. Even when they were annoyed with one another, or out and out fighting you could see that their love for one another was deep and complicated. It was a fun and quirky read that left me wanting more. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series!I received a Complimentary Copy of Lost in Flight from the author in exchange for my honest review. less
