review 1: TRACY'S REVIEW - In That Man #2 we pick up where Blake gets to be the hero. But does get the girl? She is still engaged to her college boyfriend Bradley but it is getting harder for her to ignore the feelings that she is having for her boss, Blake Burns. Then there is Blake who has always been the player and has no idea how to make Jennifer his. Jennifer is doing great in her new role even with Blake as her boss. She goes to Vegas to work on a project and Blake ends up accompanying her. Will being in Vegas let these two finally take that leap with each other or will Blake’s play boy ways ruin any chance of that happening? Blake becomes that neaky bastard and finally gets what he wants. But is it too much Jennifer? Time away for Christmas break may be exactly what they n... moreeed, and I mean time away from each other. By the end of That Man #2 I started liking Blake more and more. He is definitely becoming swoon-worthy.4 Stars
review 2: That Man 2 by Nelle L'Amour starts up right where Part 1 ended. This book is hilarious but touching, and make sure you are ready to laugh-a lot!Blake Burns is frustrated that his feelings for Jennifer (aka as his Tiger), are getting stronger and things have not changed, she is still engaged to Bradley Wick, or better known to Blake as Code name Dickwick! Blake knows he is going to have to do something to get Bradley out of the picture, and so he comes up with Operation Dickwick-his plan to eliminate his competition-this started in Book 1, and continues on into this book and the things he does to accomplish his task are hilarious, and needless to say the perfect opportunity presents itself and he takes advantage of it with glee! Here is a little ditty he is thinking to himself as he is speeding down the road- confident Operation Dickwick is going to be a success, and he has just put an end to his competition- "There once was a dentist named Bradley who was caught cheating one night badly, his fiance caught wind that the f___face had sinned and that was the end of them sadly." What happens between Bradley and Jennifer that night is priceless, but you will have to read it to find out. Lets just say Operation Dickwick is a huge success! And Blake could not be happier!The annual Christmas party day finally arrives, and her roommate, Libby convinces Jennifer to go to the party even though she is depressed, and Libby's twin brother Chaz arrives and he has bought her a lovely dress, wrap and 6 inch high heels. She undoubtedly looks beautiful. So the three of them get dressed and go to the party-Jennifer knows that even if she gets upset she will still have a good time as Chaz is always the life of the party and last year he had all the adults performing the hokey pokey-adult style!When they get to the party, Jennifer thinks that Blake will be wrapped around one of his many bimbos. Surprise-he is alone and his Grandmother knowing how her grandson feels, walks up to Jennifer and says "Bubala have you seen Blakela?" Jennifer says no and Grandma says "Vhat are you? Blind? He's standing right over there." And there he was leaning up against a doorway devouring her with his eyes, and he crooks his finger at her, she walks over to him, and he says "Hi Tiger" as his Grandmother is yelling "go kibbitz with him." She walks over to him and Blake tells her she looks beautiful. "Do you know where we are standing?" In a daze she answers no, but in her mind she is remembering the kiss she shared with a stranger when she was celebrating her engagement, and she was blindfolded; and she has remembered that kiss almost every night in her dreams. It was the best kiss she ever received! As for Blake he has never forgotten that night either which has caused him to act like a raving mad man!Blake says, "we are standing under the mistletoe." "Do you know what that means? Jennifer it means I have to kiss you. It's good luck." Before she can get his name out of her mouth his lips crash down on hers and it is a repeat of that kiss from a stranger! After the kiss she is feeling "excitement, shock, confusion and desire." And Blake says to her, "Yeah Tiger I am that man. You were wearing a peach silk dress, those fake diamonds in your ears, and silver shoes with little bows. And there was a SpongeBob bandaid on your knee." Convinced?"You are going to have to read this book to find out what happens after this and it will be well worth your while! This book is so hilarious, but underneath all the laughing, is the story of a man and a woman that have started having serious feelings towards each other that started back in book one, and has just intensified since that time.There is a lot of emotional feelings running through this book, sexual angst especially on Blake's part as he has never had to work hard to get a woman, he has always been a player and moved on from one woman to the next-now he has found someone that makes his feelings of desire also hook up to his heart and that is something unknown to him!Blake is swimming in deep waters but his determination to win keeps him afloat. On the other hand Jennifer has been having strong feelings towards Blake but had been feeling guilty as she was engaged, but now realizes that her life is going to change in a big way.Hop on board and read That Man book 2, but only after you read book 1, I guarantee that you will laugh so much, but will also shed a few tears! I am sure book 3 is going to be very exciting! I can't wait to see what happens between Jennifer and Blake! I am sure it will answer these questions;1 Will Blake get together with Jennifer?2 Will Jennifer find out who sent her the incriminating information about Bradley?3 What will happen with Jennifer after she goes home for Christmas?4 Will Jennifer find out about Operation Dickwick?5 Will Blake's Grandmother put in her two cents to make sure her Grandson is happy?6 Will Jennifer give Blake a chance, heck will she give them both a chance to find true love?I really have enjoyed these books and want to thank Nelle L'Amour for writing them. She has her own unique refreshing writing style, that will leave you thinking about her books long after you finish them!I gave this book 5***** stars and I will be back to review book 3, I just know it will be awesome! less

To be honest, when I saw the title of this series I was hesitant on reading it because it is too similar to one of my all time favourite series, This Man. Having said that Nelle L'Amour honors all of my favourite books and book boyfriends in book 2 of That Man, so I have alot of respect for her! Jen finally realizes that Blake is "that man" for her truth or dare game, but in Blake's attempt to finally make Jen his, he says the worst thing possible causing him to possibly lose her for good.
