review 1: This was definitely eye-opening, and I loved reading all of the real stories of people around the world, both those who have suffered and those who are making a difference. I've also come to hate the term "women's issues" as well, when you can see a distinct cause and effect - or at least influence - of people who instead treat them as health issues or humanity issues and make a huge difference not just for women, but for the economy and security of countries as well. Definitely a good read.
review 2: This book takes you on a ride like never before - you see parts and psyche of the human nature which you never thought was possible. It travels to the deep trenches and is an eye-opener to atrocities on women around the world. But what is remarkable about some of
... morethe stories in the book is it also talks about the coming-out-the-trench part of the story and gives an idea on how each global citizen can help. less
