review 1: This was such an entertaining read. It's full of mystery and suspense. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and guessing right up until the end. I love this author and hope this book turns into a series. I want to tell you all about the story because it was so great, but I don't want to spoil any of it for you. I wasn't sure what to expected when I started it. It's a different kind of story than what I'm use to by this author, but loved it just as much.
review 2: I just... wow. I didn't expect any of that. I mean, there were so many times I found myself wanting to smash my head against the wall as I screamed "WHAT ARE YOU DOING STEPHANIE, DON'T BE AN IDIOT!!" but I never predicted the way that the story would unfold. I feel like I have to go back and re-read i... moret just to catch all the times when I thought it was Jake's POV, though it was really Jarrod. The problem with this book is that a lot of people may not hold on and stay with it all the way through, they might drop it as soon as it becomes evident that Stephanie is an apparent idiot who is going to hook up with her abuser and they will come off thinking that the author is somehow condoning or fetishizing that. It's a big risk that the author took, but ultimately it was worth it. I only wish that the paranormal aspect had been worked a little better into the plot... but I guess it couldn't have been done without giving away too much at the beginning about Jake's true identity. Quite a rollercoaster ride, I have to say. less

This was such a nice vacation read! ^^ The suspence was amazing! And the plot twist surprised me (slightly, because I was stupid to read a review x')).I didn't really like the characters of this story though. Jake was too perfect, but since I had suspicions I didn't grow to like him at first. Stephanie was more likeable, but she seemed a little foolish to me. A little bit too made or a little weak. I don't know whether the writer of this book is male or female, but I'm guessing male. x'D Anyway, I DID enjoy the story, somehow.
