review 1: It took me more than half the book to get into the characters (which is never a good thing). I kept feeling like as soon as we were getting somewhere with one character in their POV it would switch and you would loose everything. It made it hard for me to truly attach to a character. I feel like the story would have went better if it had stayed in one character's POV, which is something I don't often think. In the end I became aggravated with Lucy. She realizes she loves Cash but then just throws everything away and starts denying her feelings for him. It made me want to slap her silly, especially seeing as he realized and was going out of his way to prove it. He made a complete turn around, which should have been just as hard for him to do as her, while she sat there bein... moreg bitchy. Also I feel like the time line was too quick. Ok, fall in love in a week that is fine, but getting engaged at the end of that week .. . . . Yea, no! Yes this story line of fake dating and falling in love is done often, but the story still had potential to be good and unique. It was just not executed well enough to fall into that category. Also, who didn't see the scene with his dad and her grams coming? I saw it early and was disappointed she went there instead of just letting it be. Even-though it was a short scene that just hinted at things, I just would have rather the ending not be THAT predictable. True rating of 2.5 stars. I just can't bring myself to give it three.
review 2: Romance for Cynics is a fun fresh romance story about two people not looking for love, who unexpectedly make the fall. I really enjoyed the story and it was a quick, fun and easy read. These two characters were so attracted to each other, the scenes in which starred them were super steamy and my favorite parts of the book. The banter between the two leads was laugh out loud funny and a pleasure to read. It was a quick book, which I have come to expect from the kiss format, but I do feel these characters could have had a longer story. All in All, Highly recommended. less

What can I say? What you see it's what you get: a cute romance.
