review 1: I adore the Walker brothers and this was certainly most anticipated. It was such a pity to spend so much of the book wanting to punch Brendan! I was so irritated with his character that it actually took away from my enjoyment of the story. I guess this is the sign of a fabulous author, one who makes you feel real emotions and feelings for characters but maybe too successful if I'm not enjoying her book because I'm disliking a character so intensely! Either way I'm still a massive fan of the Walkers!
review 2: Wow, what a disappointment!Cant believe this story came from the same author who wrote the beautifully crafted and intensely emotional story of Ethan. I found Braydon boring and somewhat a rehash from other stories (girl to scared to commit scenario) it al... morel sounded too familiar and lacked any original ideas. And don't even get me started on Brendon...wtf? what a screwed up man child! I do love the walker boys as a whole but after this latest book I just don't know. Nicole (author) is currently juggling many different series at the moment with numerous books in each series which makes me wonder whether she is spreading herself and her stories a bit thin. I think she is a talented writer, Ethan was proof of that, and so much better than what she produced with Braydon. Lets hope things improve and we get some fresh and exciting new ideas for future books. less
