Hello and welcome!
I just finished the latest release, book 24 in the Divine Creek Ranch series by one of fave authors, Heather Rainier.
Jessica Bright came to Divine, Texas seeking refuge for her and her unborn child from the man who had held her captive. With time she’s overcome the trauma, but in her eyes she isn’t just a hot mess, she’s the hot mess.
Tank Drummond and Troy Burnett have watched patiently as Jessica has gotten her life on track—perhaps too patiently. When a bit of innocent online matchmaking help from Tank’s mother goes viral, they’re pushed into pursuing Jessica even though they risk scaring her off completely.
Enter one scary dude doing the bidding of her original captor from his permanent prison cell. Four Bits owes Trevor Dornan a big favor and he always pays his debts.
Right or wrong, the ladies of Divine and Lusty, Tank’s mother, and even little Bella take matters into their own hands and pull off an adventure that will go down in Divine history as…Operation Ginger Avenger.

My review
5 stars
You would think that after so many books based in the same town, mostly same characters with new ones added in every book, it would get tiresome, right? Well, I can tell you that even after finishing the 24th one, the just released, Operation Ginger Avenger, every story in the series is unique and entertaining.
Mixing suspense, some drama, the dreaded small town mindset over which the main characters eventually win over, LOL humour, twists and some ‘scorching-I-need-ice-water’ hot scenes makes this story a page turner.
My heart was breaking for Jess seeing how she struggled with her PTSD trying to stay strong for Belle, her little daughter, to overcome the brutality of her captivity. With help and encouragement from her men, Troy and Tank, she finally makes headways and allows herself to hope and be happy. Beloved Grandma Kate (from the Lusty, Texas series) made an appearance again, with a little help from her and the support of the women (and men) of Divine, the Jess, Troy and Tank can finally find their HEA. Despite the overprotectiveness of the men of Divine, the women are strong , independent and I love seeing the next generation is brought up to be the same. The scene where little Rose Marie brings down the ‘bad man’ with her rope is awesome, I cheered for her. The feel of the close knit circle of friends left me with a good mood. The nicknames they come up with are hilarious. The ending scene is so happy *sigh*
If you like HEA stories with soul that also have ménage relationships, I recommend this book and the series.

The very useful Insider Guide is available free, links are here.
Dive into the iconic world of Heather Rainier’s Divine Creek Ranch and explore the inspirations for the series.
The guide gives an overview of each book, offers Heather’s insights into her writing, character summaries, music playlists, and her favorite excerpts from each book. It also features an original Divine Creek Ranch ménage novella entitled Divine Déjà Vu, which is available only with the guide.
In Divine Déjà Vu, LuAnn and Maynard have moved on from their dramatic first encounter in Divine Phoenix. Eight months along in their relationship, Mayn returns home with an unexpected guest. LuAnn’s introduction to Mayn’s brother Daniel is eerily similar to her first meeting with Mayn. As they overcome embarrassing circumstances to explore the undeniable pull LuAnn feels for both brothers, can she deal with the prospect of another long distance relationship?
Until next time read a book, listen to a book and don’t forget to show your love by leaving a review!
