Although each chapter concludes with an introduction to the next, you can start from any chapter.If you are looking to reorganize your philosophy timeline - the progression of philosophical thought - like I was, this way is quick and easy.It is, however, a redundant series of simplified recounts for someone who is familiar with discussions in philosophy.This text would make a great adolescent introduction for those with an interest in philosophy.

Furthermore, the book structure is perfect, as it present you one author followed by his opponent so as to show the contrast between them.
