review 1: Nina Croft sets two genres, Sci-Fi and Paranormal up in an out of this world storyline of a space traveling vamp, altered mutants, and the forces at play in the very entertaining story, Break Out which is set in the year 3048. I can honestly say that I have never read a sci-fi quite like this, and if you enjoy vampire stories and are a Star Wars fan than this may be up your alley.As for myself, I had a difficult time envisioning vampires in space and this world that Croft was trying to create.

The Collective has discovered the secret to immortality and anyone standing in their way will be destroyed and The Church of Everlasting Light is determined to destroy anything that has been genetically modified.Many of the scenarios are similar in nature to, and a combination of, both Star Trek and Star Wars technology, background and premises.
