review 1: This is definitely one easy bookIt's easy to be read. I don't have to look beyond words to understand it.It's easy to finish. I read it in one sitting. The setting is easy to imagine. There aren't many places that are described here. The story mostly takes place at the Italian billionaire's apartment. Well...there are 2 other places mentioned but it's kind of blur to me. I only know it's in London and Italy. Which part of London and Italy? I'm not clear. So it's easy to forget that they are at those places. The characters, Luc and Lia are indeed fall in love easily. They easily have feeling toward each other while I'm....hmmm....the opposite. It's easy to get bored, annoyed and frustrated of Lia and Luc.He can manipulate her, accuse her and angry to her easily. She lets him ma... morenipulate her, seduce her and forgive him easily. It's easy to guess why he uses her and why he wants to have revenge to her father. While it's easy for her to ignore that he doesn't answer her questions to avoid the inevitable. It's easy for him to use one pick up line and/or one blow mind kiss (in her opinion, of course) to make her forget that he doesn't answer her questions. It's easy for her to thrust all of her questions, doubts and such to the back of her mind.I think your life will be so much easier when you're a billionaire and gorgeous like Luc and beautiful and naive like Lia. This is indeed an easy read and I’ll easily forget about it even right after I finish it.
review 2: This book has some Harlequin Presents vibe. What with the title, the billionaire with his penthouse, Ferrari, private jet & private island. it is an engrossing and passionate read. The writing style is pretty good and the plot very compelling with the mystery about Lia's father. Lia is looking for the father she didn't see in 10 years because he took a mortgage on their home and she needs the money back or she - and her brother- will lose their home. When Lia goes to a strip-club owned by a former acquaintance of her father's, she doesn't realize that she is being set up by Luc who thinks Lia is the link to her father who killed Luc's father and set Luc up in prison when he was 18y. Luc is arrogant and ruthless. He is very controlling and very manipulating, constantly pushing Lia & lying to her in order to get what he wants. What Luc doesn't know is how hard he will fall for the daughter of his enemy. less
