review 1: This is the 3rd book of the 'Bittersweet' series and is by far the best series out of all them! Nina croft has skills! not only can can she spin a story that is superb, she can also write several series at one time that manages to snare you in to her world of paranormal. Kudos to you Miss.Croft! Asmodia is a demon of lust and proud papa of Tara, whom isn't to found of dear ole pops and lets not get started on how Christian Roth hubby of Tara feels about him. So when luc the devil tells Ash his just been recruited as a representative for the demons and is gonna be working with son-n-law and the rest of the gang well hell! Shit hits the fan! Ash is no slob at 6'5 that walks with the grace of a cat and oozing of sex appeal that demon can get any woman he wants but that's jus... moret not him. Ash hasn't had any desires for any female since Tara's mom passed away 20yrs ago until Faith walks in looking for her ex-partner Detective Ryan whom now works with the vamps and demon as a human liaison. Electricity literally sparks between the two and gets Ashe's libido out of hibernation normally a sexy man interested in her wouldn't be a problem but Faith has several issues going on and a ticking time bomb called an annerysium which can kill her at any moment and can be triggered by stress, is a doozy! So when Faith is thrown into a world where monsters really do exist! bits and pieces of the murder of her mom by a monster that she don't believe in are trying to resurface which causes horrible migraines thus speeding up her death, which just sucks! Just when her life was starting to get interesting thanks to sexy Ash being in her life the grim reaper comes a calling but not before Tara is kidnapped by Micheal the archangels goons and held prisoner and Faith knows who did it and where she's at but because she doesn't know which side is good or bad she keeps her mouth shut in the mean time the gang are going nuts and Ash is losing it! his only kid is missing! Faith could spare them all so much anguish if she just opened her mouth and tells them where she's at. Ha! it's not that easy, to many decisions and she has no idea which one to make. I bet your asking does she say something and will it be too late? Does faith die? Ahhh! Read the book and find out. This is an awesome story so much going on. The characters are intense and the emotions you can practically feel them as your own. I love this book and series. I can't wait for the next one. Thanks Entanglement for introducing me to this series and the talented Miss.Croft.
review 2: **I received this ARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review**Bittersweet Darkness is a fun paranormal romance that kept me interested until the end. And, I enjoyed the story and banter between characters. I wish I had, had the opportunity to read the two previous installments before this one because I feel it would have added to my enjoyment immensley. While I found the story intersting and entertaining, it also wasn't my favorite story ever. Unfortunately, for me, there wasn't a lot to set this story apart from the average paranormal romance read. That is not to say I wouldn't reccommend it, I would. It was well executed and rarely left me bored. less
