review 1: Impractical and impracticeable outside the States (see shop addresses, specific tips, and represented brands, inaccessible or far more expensive in Europe). Other than that, it is a small, pretentious little book; more of an aspirational shopping list (enumerating iPod, BlackBerry and champagne as classy accessories) than a genuine "user's guide" to style (there are few tips on adapting the 'looks' to different silhouettes or lifestyles).Polish translation is rather rough around the edges.
review 2: I thought this book would be fun and breezy, like Tim Gunn's books on the same subject. It was not. What it was, instead, was a very long list of accessories, some of which were not fashion (Note to Ms. Garcia: An Ipod is not fashion. A passport is not fashion.
... moreI get that you're selling a lifestyle here, but for real...) It contained, of course, the required items (LBD, jeans, blazer etc) but nothing of substance. Useless. Tim Gunn's book is much better, and I also recommend the UK version "What not to wear" books. less

Some interesting fashion history facts but pretty irrelevant to anyone without a designer budget.

Fun read if you're interested in fashion. I really enjoyed the little anecdotes.
