review 1: Funny, easy reading and plenty of good ideas. Nina Garcia not only tells you what are, in her opinion, "the one hundred" but also specifies how to combine them and where to buy. She gives alternatives to the most expensive items and recommends to invest in the classics that will remain with your for a lifetime. I loved to know the story behind every recommendation and the great quotes she chose to finish each chapter. In my opinion, it has everything that a fashion book must have so if you are looking for a book to inspire yourself and learn a little bit about style, this makes a good choice.
review 2: Loved this little book on style from the formidable, Nina Garcia. Like another reader commented, I devoured this book in a few hours as I reflected on my own wa... morerdrobe. Yes, I have a lot of the items listed. And, no, it doesn't take a massive amount of money to be stylish. Thrift stores are my friends and style comes in all price points. Thank you for reminding me that I needn't dumb down my sense of style just because everyone else wants to live their lives in sweatpants, white tennis shoes and other fashion that says "I'd rather be in bed." The 101st item should have been a convertible - I ache to ride around town on a run to the grocery store in my sunglasses and scarf. less
