review 1: "1.3 stars" This book was absolutely crappy. The grammar was atrocious. The use of language was terrible. The story was absolutely, completely and utterly predictable. The author had no sense of direction and constantly contradicted herself. Ivory's character I believe was destined to remain 20 forever. She was 'almost 21' before she got married and even after 6 months spent apart from Darius(her husband) and quite some time spent with him, she still remains 20. I mean girl, if you have the secret to immortality then you gotta share. Her age does however thankfully change during the epilogue. Also we get the impression that Darius is a spoilt dumb blonde(figure of speech people, no offense intended). He wears dress shoes and suits to beaches, has no idea what cotton candy ... moreor a carnival is (I mean do you honestly expect us to believe this shit?) and despite being a hard core businessman, cannot tie a tie(this is clearly the result of amnesia after marriage since he was always impeccably dressed when he was at odds with his wife). Also what is the deal with James(the ex)? At the start of the book, he's a poor orphan (she believed this for four years while they were together) and then suddenly, he's the son of a rich socialite( Seriously?!) Hes also ugly, skinny, insecure, dresses like a pimp, drowns himself in cologne and has no self respect or class. And yet you still loved him and were with him for four years you miserable hypocrite (aren't you the bitter ex)! And I won't even try and explain what's going on with their parents. You're probably smart enough to figure that out if you're unfortunate enough to read the book... or not. Half of the story is spent bullshitting the readers. Do you really expect us to believe that she was married to a guy for six months and still didn't know what he looked like (note increasing crappiness). Also, if they're so rich, why do Adrian and Ivory eat like impoverished street urchins. Add to that the fact that the romance is spectacularly unbelievable (writing such a lifeless romance takes mad skills ladies and gentlemen 4) and the characters have the maturity and emotional depth of cardboard. Nonetheless, I somehow slogged through this miserable excuse for a book in the hopes of finding a saving grace as indicated by the rave reviews. I was however severely disappointed and obviously misdirected by several wattpad fans of this book who wouldn't know a good book if it hit them in the face while tied to an anvil. As for the person who gave this book '1.5 frustrating stars', I say amen to that sister. Had I listened to you, I wouldn't have wasted hours of my life reading this monstrosity.
review 2: This story isn't good, it's AMAZINGArranged Marriage = we all know they're gonna fall in love and make babies. But no, this was not like that, this was where two characters so different from each other, one with a horrible past and experience, and one a work-a-holic find their differences and love each other Because of themThey don't change for anyone, whilst they improve and change their attitude for the better, thy are how they are at the start, at the end. It's a novel where you will lose yourself with them, feel what they feel and the smallest things make you blush like a teenager (Which we most are)There is an extremely rude review below "1.5 stars," which has it completely incorrect for someone who has "Skip read" the novel I don't think she has any right to post a review with such harshness that discredits the whole novel. This novel is not claiming to be the best in the world. It is different from other cliche arranged marriage and love stories where they just don't jump in the bed in chapter 3, they find their own love and start a future, that's what romance is all about. Not how fast they can pop kids out, but how slow and sweet the experience is. With realistic events and people and not too much drama, this is the perfect novel to read anytime, any day, everywhere and gift to everyone. I would definitely read it again and again and again and again and...you get the notion. less
