review 1: advocates a very-low-carb or ketogenic diet. good on protein & fat functions in the body. good info on gluten, especially testing and psychological/emotional connections, in particular the ADHD chapter. poor rating for two reasons: first, the anthropology is poor and the "ketosis for everyone" approach is unfounded; second, because the writing and tone are relentlessly alarmist, breathless, and snarky, and it gets old fast.
review 2: I went into this book with an open mind and i'm glad i did. Although i did not agree with some of her topics and some of the work she has tried to give evidence to has not been thoroughly r
... moreesearched and is flawed. For example she said that using a microwave can kill all nutrients according to a study back in 2001 which was quickly ruled out because the experiment was not carried out in a way somebody would use a microwave.Apart from that i think this is a great book for people to want to know about eating like our ancestors and increasing your lifespan. less
