review 1: This was rather too heavy on the mathematics for me,and because those chapters took longer to read it gave the impression it was overly biased towards the subject.However the book is structured so the chapters are not successive and can be read independently of each other,which facilitates the process of chapter skipping.But then again if you just stick to the non-mathematical chapters you might as well buy beginners guides to Quantum physics,Greek Philosophy and Godel.
review 2: This dense and difficult textbook combining multiple disciplines is worth the effort of active study. Some of the mathematical formulae may be troublesome for popular readers, but persistence pays off with a host of philosophical paradoxes, infinity puzzles and metascientific perplexit... moreies. The summaries of quantum physics and cosmology are excellent, along with the discussion of mathematical philosophy and the role of human consciousness in collapsing the infinite superposition of the multiverse into our coherent self-referential cosmos. less
