review 1: Dang I feel like such an ass. Everyone has 5-star ratings for this book and I'm like "did we read the same thing?" It wasn't that bad, though. I know that Nyrae Dawn writes kickass romances but this one wasn't for me. This story had loads of potential and it was nice in the sense that it shows the development of a boy who only did hookups to believing in love. Plus, Sebastian's love for his mother and a particular girl whose name I won't reveal was really sweet. Other than that...meh. It felt a bit two dimensional. It had the theory put down- the theory of this group of amazing friends, the theory of the romance, etcetera etcetera but it was the execution that wasn't fabulous. It fell flat for me. Sure, you could call it a mindless read, but I don't do those because they'r... moree a tad shallow sometimes. Maybe I just chose the wrong day to read this book, but just read this with the mentality for a quick read. Nothing fancy.
review 2: I don't like the way he talks. It is a book. But I don't excuse his French.Goodness, that guy is a LOSER.Sebastian is like this "great" expert at flirt. He knows exactly what to do so a girl will want to be with him and he helps girls do the same and a little fee.I don't believe it for a moment. A guy with a mouth like his won't find anything except a few slaps. Oh, he does too.Then, his best friend begins to act weird... In sync with his advice to a new girl.Supposedly, he is a kind of protector. But he sucks at it. He gives advice to strangers but can't help his mother or notice his friend's feelings.And, I don't like his "voice". I am French, I am used to rude people. But I don't like to find them in my books.Really, that guy is stupid. less
