review 1: This was technically my first m/m read. I’ve read two others but they were sci-fy so I don’t really count them. I enjoyed this. I wish it had been longer. I don’t really like conflict so the things with Nick & the football team bothered me. I’d rather had focused more on the development of Peter & Alex’s relationship. It would have been nice to read about them interacting with Alex friends who were accepting of him & his new relationship. I think for Peter that would have been good to see. I’d read more from this author.
review 2: Stars more than 2 but less than 3Firstly I would like to congratulate the author on sharing her story and writing in English this was a brave undertaking, as I imagine syntax and grammar are very different in English than ... morein Swedish.That said. This is a cute story about two very different men who have difficulties in their daily lives, either from past hurts or injury and disability. Their lack of confidence, in themselves or others motivations, creates a real complication that develops the story quite nicely.The setting is a small Swedish town where being gay is not normal and this adds to the building tension surrounding the new relationship.While there was some repetition of facts or dialogue, it was not overly distracting.The photo prompt was kinkily presented as the perfect resolution to the rising tension in the story and made me smile!Well done to Ofelia Grand for being brave and giving the reader a quickie for breakfast! less
