This is the third book in the Catskills mystery series. I have not read the earlier books, I had no trouble following the story. The protagonist, Charlotte Fairfax has been in the area for a number of years. She is responsible for getting the new Shakespeare play staged. The director opts out leaving a problem. The star actress has a say on the director and insisted on a director from England. His arrival throws the cast into a turmoil. He is found dead in his bungalow and the Police rule it suicide. Charlotte feels different and exploded the circumstances surrounding the death. The play continues in rehearsals. Will new concept be popular? Will Charlotte find an answer before she loses her life? I highly recommend this book.
