review 1: Nick Belsey is an excellent detective, much better than his colleagues. He has some problems, however. He drinks far too much. He is homeless, bankrupt, has no possessions - like clothing, not even a toothbrush! He is contemplating stealing someone's identity to remediate his problems. Although he's about to lose his job, orders keep showing up on his desk - like this one: a missing person, Alexei Devereaux.
review 2: The first half of the book moved pretty slow for me but the closer I got to the end the better it was and the more I couldn't put the book down. Absolutely loved this book. Compelling antihero with a complex plot that keeps you tantalised.
