review 1: Cute little story about little odd shaped egg "people". In the beginning, all of The Hueys are the exact same. One of them decides to switch things up by making a sweater. Of course, he stands out and begins to feel left out. Then someone else comes up with the idea to wear the same sweater and he doesn't feel so lonely. Then everyone gets into the act. Then everyone is like everyone else again. Then at the end comes the twist. This was a funny story about funny little people. Kids will get a good chuckle out of it, as well as adults. Great story time book
review 2: The book title is The Hueys in the new sweater created by Oliver Jeffers. The art materials she uses in the picture book is pencil and watercolor. Jennifer illustrates all the characters by using pe
... morencil. The watercolored orange new sweater on all the Hueys really stands out in the illustration of the picture book. The choice color definitely interprets the characters in the picture book. Each of Hueys drew in he grey and black looks the same like an egg or computer mouse. It looks like a dull and achromatic place where Hueys lives. One day one of them wanted to do something to make himself look different so he knitted himself a new sweater with colorful yams. The bright and colorful sweater captivated other people around Rupert. Suddenly, he got attention and made other Hueys talk about him because he looked different and great in that new sweater. Others started to knit themselves new sweater like exactly as same as Rupert's. Thus, everybody looked same now. "Being different was catching on and the others wanted to be different too! " The story implies that sometimes we are afraid to change ourself and others might look at us in strange and judgmental way. In the story, Rupert was the first person in his community who decided to make differences and he did successfully because he completely influenced others from how individuals see, think and behave by doing beautiful things. It is very inspiring story to let us think of that If we want to make our family, community and world become a wonderful place to live, we need to take action to changes. less
