review 1: If you are looking for a book to cinder every thought in your head except for what the characters want you to know, READ THIS! I found that I liked the characters and the complexity of the storylines. Each person has their own issues and their own wishes. It was extremely hard to put this down. Where I don't agree with the groupies bus orgy, it is an intriguing thought to entertain. Even the intricate tying of ropes was a process I think could be beautiful. I'll continue on in the series. I'd like to see where Sole Regret ends up.
review 2: I added this to my “read for only the sex” list. I’m comfortable with sex, I like sex…adore it really, my love of sex is well documented here on GR as a matter of fact. This book though was a huge let down for me. Fi... morerst off…well I’ve never understood groupies. I like music…I would go to a show. I might think to myself “now the lead singer (I like lead singers) is sexy, if given the chance in real life I’d do him”. I would never go back stage with a friend to seek it out, but hey if we passed each other let’s say at Giant & he offered I’d not turn it down. What I’ve never thought is “hey I’d love to do the ENTIRE band and the bus driver”. That pretty much sums up this book, it’s not so much an orgy per se as two girls who literally over the course of one night fuck everyone on a bus.It wasn’t sexy, it didn’t get my juices flowing. Instead it had my mind working. Like listen if I was a guy (let’s say Owen here…I mean the dude has a piercing and if I was a man I’m assuming I’d pierce it) I’d like to think I would be phenomenal in the shack. When I got in my bunk after Kellen & I put some girl to sleep I’d expect her to stay there. I’d be patting myself on the back like “damn right I’m a SEX GOD”. What would hurt my ego is if she merely took a cat nap, got up, screwed my other three band mates, the bus driver & then ate out her friend. I’d be questioning my skills, it would hurt my feelings. I’m not reading anymore of this series, obviously these guys are weak in the shack. I can’t have that… less
