review 1: Speaking of Love is a highly engaging read! I loved Mac from the very beginning - she is smart, funny and most importantly, full of snark. Her broken heart and strong ideals prevent her from considering a serious relationship with the gorgeous and charming Rick. With the help of a boisterous group of characters, Mac finds her way through her feelings to reach a most satisfying ending. Ms. London is truly a master of writing a sensual kiss scene, which I found to be just as effective as much more descriptive scenes in other books that I have read. I wasn't aware at the time that Tess and Jack were from a previous novel by Ms. London, but now that I am, I will have to read that too!
review 2: I fell in love with this book before I even got past the first page! R... moreick is such a dream, and Mac is so full of energy, I couldn’t help but love them both right away! Ophelia does a great job letting us see into each of their perspectives, and both are easy to relate to and understand where they are coming from. From Rick’s wealthy family background to Mac’s blue-collar—I could see how that might draw a line between them, yet I was still rooting for them to fall in love the whole time! I couldn’t stop reading until they got their happily ever after! less
