review 1: സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ അഴുകുച്ചളിൽ കഴിയുന്ന ഒരു കൂടം വ്യക്തികളിലൂടെ കാമം..ക്രൂരത എന്നീ വികാരങ്ങളുടെ അകെ തുകയാണ് ഉദാകപോളാ ... തങ്ങൾ .....കൂട്ടികൊടുപ്പുകാരനെ ഇത്രയും സ്വീകാര്യത കിട്ടിയ വേറെ ഒരു കഥാപാത്രം എവ്ദീം ഉണ്ടാകില്ല .. ഒരു ഭാഗത്ത്‌ കാമം .... മറുഭാഗത്ത്‌ പ്രേമം .... ഇതിൽ ഇതാണ് എന്ന് തിരിച്ചു അറിയാൻ പറ്റാ�... more��െ അലഞ്ഞു തിരിയുന്ന ക്ലാര / മഴ ....... നോവലിൽ "ഞാൻ എന്ന് വിശേഷിപ്പിചിടുള്ള"കഥാപാത്രത്തെ "തൂവനതുംബികളിൽ" മന്നര്തോടി ജയകൃഷ്ണൻ ആക്കിയതിൽ പദ്മരാജന്റെ ആ മാജിക്‌ ആണ് തൂവനതുംബികളിൽ മനോഹരമാകിയത് . "തൂവാനതുമ്പികൾ " കണ്ടു വട്ടായ ഞാൻ ഉധകപോള വായിച്ചപ്പോൾ സംഭാഷണങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം കാണാപാഠം പറയുക ആയിരുന്നു ..... പദ്മരാജന്റെ വായിച്ചു തീർത്ത രണ്ടാമത്തെ ബുക്ക്‌ ആണ് ഈ ഉധകപോള .... പ്രേമത്തെയും രതിയും ഇത്ര മനോഹരമായി കൈകാര്യം ചെയാൻ പപ്പെട്ടാൻ അല്ലാതെ ഇനി ഒരു പ്രതിഭ ഇത് വരെ ഉണ്ടായ്ടില്ല .... കാലം പപ്പേട്ടന്റെ രണ്ടാം വരവിനായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു ..... നവംബറിന്റെ നഷ്ടം എഴുതി തീർത്ത് ജനുവരിയുടെ നഷ്ടമായി തീർന്ന പപ്പേട്ടാ വന്ദനം ............
review 2: The Water Bubble, Udakapola means that when translated to English. The tale is an interconnected mesh of the lives of characters drawn from a town somewhere in Kerala. The author builds the tale around the fringes of society. His tales feature the people whom society would gladly be off calling the scum. It is their lives,dreams and thoughts that feature in this tale. Not as great as the author's other works but it's a good read. Here again, details are sketchy as I read the book a good six or seven years ago. less
