review 1: Again Paige Harbison has given us a character that is, quite frankly, hard to like. Although she manages to turn it around this time so that you can't help but to fall for Bridget. At the start, Bridget is kind of... A bitch. But despite that, you can't help feel kind of sorry for her and she does grow on you once you get past the Queen Bee attitude. Liam is such a lovely character, I thought he was just darling- the perfect fictional guy. I thought the moments between Bridget and Liam when the real Bridget came out were so sweet and I immediately fell in love with the pair. It would have been nice to like her for at least 50% of the book, but I see how it was necessary to build that mean-girl image so that the story had a turn around point. I think this was a nice quick r... moreead and it sends a good message. It's over all quite a happy book despite the dark themes and life lessons.
review 2: I thought this book was going to be excellent as I loved her previous novel and it was okay. Bridget was at first a mean girl who you couldn't get along with and towards the end you are meant to sympathise and relate to her new personality. But I felt that the change was too quick and forced. I didn't feel like she deserved the ending that she got. But other than that I liked the way the author showed us how self absorbed Bridget was and we as the reader could see what was happening in her friends lives when she couldn't. But I still felt it was rushed sadly. less
