review 1: This book has definitely just become my favourite Toon book. I have read all of her books and they all are fantastic reads with really great stories. What is really good about this book is if you have read her other books there are ties between the characters so you get updates on them which is nice. The plot focuses on Laura whose marriage has broken down after her husband did something on his stag night, she goes to Key West and meets and falls in love with Leo. What follows is a really emotional and dramatic plot of her love life between these two men and I have to say towards the end the twist makes for very emotional reading. The plots is very realistic which always makes a book more enjoyable and the characters are extremely well developed and well written and they a... morere all flawed yet likeable at the same time. This is a definite must read for any fan of chick lit, and prepare to read this in one sitting as it is so absorbing.
review 2: I love Paige Toon and have recently rediscovered her as my favourite author. I was so looking forward to reading this but unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations. I found it really hard to get into, largely due to the fact that both Laura and Leo were quite one dimensional and annoying. The setting was unusual and I even liked the return to rainy England ... Just couldn't find myself caring what happened to L & L! It hasn't put me off Paige Toon's books, this one just wasn't really for me. less
