review 1: Meg is now married to Johnny, has two sons with him (Barney and Phoenix) and has a great life in Europe. But Johnny has to record his new album, so they are forced to move back to LA to do it. They somehow manage to purchase the old house back (Johnny loved that house despite the bad memories, but he is hoping to make good memories now) and he is a changed man. He no longer does drugs, drinks or smokes. But they just got word that an old groupie from his hay days with the group Fence has passed named Candy, and she left behind a daughter that is Johnny's. After a small struggle, Johnny and Meg invite her to the mansion in LA so Johnny can get to know her. But when she shows up, Meg knows its trouble. This short novella was an introduction into the next plot with Johnny Je... morefferson's daughter. Of course I loved it, but being a novella really kept me from getting too wrapped up into the storyline. Looking forward to the series continuing! 3.5 stars!
review 2: It was absolutely an amazing feeling being back in Meg and Johnnys world, especially now since they have little Barney and Phoenix! It was so good reading the end bit from Jessie's point of view and she liked to *live dangerously* sounds like someone else I've read about before... ;) I can't wait for the story to unravel and to see what happens next!I'm hoping that when Jessie arrived and Johnnys was late he wasn't out for a drink... and really hoping he doesn't turn to booze, drugs or women but I think he will... I really hope now! *bites nails* Oh please Johnny NO!My only problem with this book was it was far to short.. :( less
